Bachelor of Technology in Manufacturing Technology is an undergraduate Manufacturing Technology course. They work to enhance the overall process in the machinery taking from tool, labor, logistics and other related aspects. Candidates are equipped to make agricultural products in an efficient manner as well as cost-effective for the farmers. The tools made with the help of manufacturing technology are highly efficient, ready to use and directed at making life easier.
The primary focus as a Manufacturing Engineer is to turn the raw materials into an updated or new product in a very economical and efficient way. The field is continuously updating itself for the coming years. It has introduced the latest technology in the field of Science and development such as 3D/4D printing, Nanoelectromechanical systems, Autonomous vehicle, Digital Twins, Hyperloops, ABS, computational fluid dynamics etc.
Eligibility Criteria
The students should have passed 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as compulsory subjects. Students should have secured a minimum aggregate of 45-50% in their board exams post which they are required to qualify any one of the national/state level entrance exams to get admitted for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. The minimum age limit for the course is 17 years.
Candidates can easily get admission in this course by qualifying the entry-level examination of JEE main and advanced, private institutions such as BITS PILANI offer their own entrance test known as BITSAT to seek admission into this course.
CAREER & Jobs OPPORTUNITIES
Candidates after successfully completing their degree can have various options and employment opportunities in globally recognized industries such as aeronautical, automotive and chemical industry, computer, mechanical and food industry, engineering management and garment industry. A graduate can find numerous job opportunities across various production industries in India as well as abroad with lucrative career growth.
